Dua for Forgiveness From Allah | Istighfar Dua | Supplications Repent of Sins
You must recite some Dua for Forgiveness From Allah daily at any time, and SPECIALLY at night before going to bed like remember Allah the Almighty and His all blessings that He has given us. This little act can give you great rewards zrom Him. There are many more acts and these acts are powerful in the sight of Allah. You must make it your habit to recall Allah before sleeping and I believe you will love doing it. It is also Sunnah of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and we all must follow the Sunnah of Him (S.A.W).
Dua for Forgiveness – 01
رَبَّنََآ إنَّنَآ ءَاَمنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ۔
Dua in Roman: Rabbana innanā amanna, faghfir lana, dhunoobana wa-qinna ‘adhāāban-naar
Dua Translation in English: (Our Lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire)

Dua for Forgiveness – 02
رَبِّ اِنِّىْٓ اَعُوْذُ بِكَ اَنْ اَسْـــَٔـلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِيْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ ۭ وَاِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِيْ وَتَرْحَمْنِيْٓ اَكُنْ مِّنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ۔
Dua in Roman: Rabbi Inneee A-o’od’u Bika An As-alaka Maa Laysa Lee Bihee I’lm Wa Illaa Taghfirlee Wa Tarh’amneee Akum Minal Khaasireen
Dua Translation in English: O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers.

Dua for Forgiveness – 03
لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ۔
Dua in Roman: La illaha illa Anta Subhanak, inni kuntu min adh-dhalimeen
Dua Translation in English: (There is no God but You; Glory be to You, Truly I have been one of the wrongdoers)
[Surah al-Anbiyah, 21: 87]
Sa’d ibn Waqas (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu allayhi wasalam) said, “The supplication made by the Companion of the Fish (Prophet Yunus (as)) in the belly of the fish was (the above). If any Muslim supplicates in these words, his supplication will be accepted/responded to.”
In another report we read, “I know words that will cause Allah to remove one’s distress. These are the words (of supplication) of my brother Yunus, peace be upon him”
[at-Tirmidhi; 3500, an-Nisa’i in `Amal al-yawmi wa al-layla; #656, al-Hakim 1:505 and 2:383. The latter declared it sound (sahih) and Dhahabi confirmed him]
Dua for Forgiveness – 04
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي۔
Dua in Roman: Rabbighfir lee, Rabbighfir lee
Dua Translation in English: Lord, forgive me. My Lord, forgive me.

Dua for Forgiveness – 05
سُبْحَنَكَ تُبْتُ إلَيْكَ وَ أنَاْ أوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ۔
Dua in Roman: Subhānaka tubtu ilaiyka wa ‘ana awwal-ul mu’mineen
Dua Translation in English: (Glory be to Thee! To Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe)

Dua for Forgiveness – 06
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، وَارْفَعْنِي۔
Dua in Roman: Allaahum-maghfir lee, warhamnee, wahdinee, wajburnee, wa ‘aafinee, warzuqnee, warfa’nee
Dua Translation in English: O Allah forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, support me, protect me, provide for me and elevate me.

Dua for Forgiveness – 07
اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أسْألُكَ يَا اللَّهُ بِأنَّكَ الْوَاحِدُّ الأحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِي لَمْيَلِدْ وَ لَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُواً أحَدٌ، أنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي ذُنُوبِي إنَّكَ أنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الَّرحِيمُ۔
Dua in Roman: Allahumma inni asaluka ya Allahu bi annakal Wahidul Ahadus-Samadul ladhi, lam ya-lid wa lam youlad, wa lam yakullahu kufuwan Ahad, an taghfirali dhunoobi innaka Antal Ghafūūrur Raheem
Dua Translation in English: (O Allah! I ask You, O Allah, You are the One, the Only, Self Sufficient Master, who was not begotten and begets not and non is equal to Him. Forgive me my sins, surely you are Forgiving, Merciful.)

Dua for Forgiveness – 08
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ، دِقَّهُ وَجِلَّهُ، وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ وَعَلَانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ۔
Dua in Roman: Allaahum-maghfir lee thanbee kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, wa ‘awwalahu wa ‘aakhirahu wa ‘alaaniyata hu wa sirrahu
Dua Translation in English: O Allah, forgive me all my sins, great and small, the first and the last, those that are apparent and those that are hidden.

أسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَ أتُوبُ إلَيْهِ۔
Dua in Roman: Astaghfirullaha wa atūūbu ilai(hi)
Dua Translation in English: (I seek the Forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him.)

Dua for Forgiveness – 10
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مَنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَاَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ، لَا أُحصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ۔
Dua in Roman: Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu biridhaaka min sakhatika, wa bimu’aafaatika min ‘uqoobatika wa ‘a’oothu bika minka, laa ‘uhsee thanaa’an ‘alayka ‘Anta kamaa ‘athnayta ‘alaa nafsika
Dua Translation in English: O Allah, I seek protection in Your pleasure from Your anger, and I seek protection in Your forgiveness from Your punishment. I seek protection in You from You. I cannot count Your praises. You are as You have praised Yourself.

Dua for Forgiveness – 11
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَ بِحَمْدِكَ، أشْهَدُ أنْ لا إلهَ إلَّا أنْتَ، أسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَ أتُوبُ إلَيْكَ۔
Dua in Roman: Subhanakal-Lahumma wa bihamdik, ash-hadu allaillaha illa ant, astaghfiruka wa’atoobu ilaiyk
Dua Translation in English: (Glory be to You, O Allah, and all Praise, I testify that there is no deity but You, I seek Your Forgiveness and to You do I repent.)

Dua for Forgiveness – 12
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ , أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ , أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ۔
Dua in Roman: Astaghfirullaah, Astaghfirullaah, Astaghfirullaaha wa ‘atoobu ‘ilayhi
Dua Translation in English: I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to him.

Dua for Forgiveness – 13
اللَّهُمَّ اِنّى اسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِذَنْبِى وَ اسْئَلُكَ رَحْمَتَكَ۔
Dua in Roman: Allahumma inni astaghfiruka li dhanbi wa as’aluka rahmatak
Dua Translation in English: (O Allah! I ask You for Forgiveness for my sins, and for Your Mercy.)
Dua for Forgiveness – 14
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْماً كَثِيراً، وَلَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَغْفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْدِكَ وَارْحَمْنِي إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ۔
Dua in Roman: Allaahumma ‘innee dhalamtu nafsee dhulman katheeran, wa laa yaghfiruth-thunooba ‘illaa ‘Anta, faghfir lee maghfiratan min ‘indika warhamnee ‘innaka ‘Antal-Ghafoorur-Raheem
Dua Translation in English: O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself and no one forgives sins but You. So, grant me forgiveness and have mercy on me. Surely, you are Forgiving, Merciful.

.سُبْحَنَ رَبِّنَآ إنَّا كُنَّا ظَلِمِينَ

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِى خَطَايَاىَ وَ ذُنُوْبِى كُلِّهَا۔
Dua in Roman: Allahummaghfirli khatāyaya wa dhunubi kullaha
Dua Translation in English: (O Allah! Forgive all my sins and ommissions.)
Dua for Forgiveness – 17
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَاصَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِر لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ۔
Dua in Roman: Allahumma anta rabbee la ilaha illa ant, khalaqtanee wa-ana AAabduk, wa-ana AAala AAahdika wawaAAdika mas-tataAAt, aAAoothu bika min sharri ma sanaAAt, aboo-o laka biniAAmatika AAalay, wa-aboo-o bithanbee, faghfir lee fa-innahu la yaghfiruth-thunooba illa ant.
Dua Translation in English: O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I have committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.
Shaddad ibn Aws (radiAllahu anhu) relates that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said that he (Sayyid al-Istighfar) most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to say (the above du’a). That “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”

Dua for Forgiveness – 18
رَبَّنَا لا تُؤَاخِذْنآ إِننَسِيَنآ أوْ أخْطَأْ نَا رَبَّنَا وَ لا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَآ إصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَه عَلَى اْلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَ لا تُحَمّلْنَا مَا لا طَاقَةَ لَنَابِهِ وَاْعْفُعَنَّا وَ اْغْفِرْلَنَا وَاْرْحَمْنَآ أنتَ مُوْلَنَا فَاْنصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَفِرِينَ۔
Dua in Roman: Rabbana la tu’a-khidhna in-nasina aw akta’na, Rabbana wa la tahmil ‘alaiyna isran kama hamaltahu ‘alal-ladheena min qablina. Rabbana wala tuham-milna mala taqata-lana beh. Wa’fu-‘anna, waghfir-lana war hamna, Anta maulana fansurna ‘alal qawmil kaafireen
Dua Translation in English: (Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us, Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against Faith)

Dua for Forgiveness – 19
اللّهُـمَّ إِنَّـي أَسْـأَلُـكَ بِرَحْمَـتِكَ الّتي وَسِـعَت كُلَّ شيء، أَنْ تَغْـفِرَ لِي۔
Dua in Roman: Allaahumma ‘innee ‘as’aluka birahmatikal-latee wasi’at kulla shay’in ‘an taghfira lee
Dua Translation in English: O Allah, I ask You by Your mercy, which encompasses all things, that You forgive me.

اَللّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِكُلِّ ذَنْبٍ لِّيْ وَأَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِيْ مَا أَحْصَيْتَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ مَّظَالِمِ الْعِبَادِ قِبَلِيْ فَإِنَّ لِعِبَادِكَ عَلَيَّ حُقُوْقًا وَّمَظَالِمَ وأَنَا بِهَا مُرْتَهِنٌ اَللّهُمَّ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ كَثِيْرَةً فَإِنَّهَا فِيْ جَنْبِ عَفْوِكَ يَسِيْرَةٌ اللّهُمَّ أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِكَ أَوْ أَمَةٍ مِّنْ إِمَائِكَ كَانَتْ لَهُ مَظْلِمَةٌ عِنْدِيْ قَدْ غَصَبْتُهُ عَلَيْهَا فِيْ أَرْضِها أَوْ مَالِها أَوْ عِرْضِها أَوْ بَدَنِها أَوْ غَابَ أَوْ حَضَرَ هُوَ أَوْ خَصْمُهُ يُطَالِبُنِيْ بِهَا وَلَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ أَرُدَّهَا إِلَيْهِ وَلَمْ أَسْتَحْلِلْهَا مِنْهُ فَأَسْأَلُكَ بِكَرَمِكَ وَجُوْدِكَ وَسِعَةِ مَا عِنْدَكَ أَنْ تُرْضِيَهُمْ عَنِّيْ وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ لَّهُمْ عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا مُّنَقِّصَةً مِّنْ حَسَنَاتِيْ فَإِنَّ عِنْدَكَ مَا يُرْضِيْهِمْ عَنِّيْ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِيْ مَا يُرْضِيْهِمْ وَلاَ تَجْعَلْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لِسَيِّئَاتِهِمْ عَلىٰ حَسَنَاتِيْ سَبِيْلاً۔
Dua in Roman: Allahumma inni astaghfiruka li kulli dhambin li,wa as aluka an taghfira li ma ahsayta alayya min mazalim al ‘ibad qibali. Fa inna li ‘ibadika ‘alayya huquqan wa mazalim wa ana biha murtahin. Allahumma wa in kanat kathiratan fa innaha fi jambi ‘afwika yasiratun . Allahumma ayyuma ‘abdin min ‘ibadika aw amatin min ima ika kanat lahu mazlimatun ‘indi qad ghasabtuhu ‘alayha fi ardiha aw maliha aw ‘irdhiha aw badaniha aw ghaba aw hadhara huwa aw khasmuhu yutalibuni biha wa lam astati’ an arudaha ilayhi wa lam astahlilha minhu fa as aluka bi karamika wa judika wasi ‘ati ma ‘indak an turdhiyahum ‘anni wa la taj ‘al lahum alayya shay an munnaqisatan min hasanati fa inna ‘indaka ma yurdhihim ‘anni wa laysa ‘indi ma yurdhihim. Wa la taj ‘al yawm al Qiyama li sayyi atihim ‘ala hasanati sabila.
Dua Translation in English: (O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness for all my sins. I ask You to forgive me for all my wrongdoings [mazalim] against people that You have recorded, for there are many rights [huquq] and dues [mazalim] owed to Your servants that I am burdened with and for which I am hostage [murtahin]. O Allah, even if these (wrongdoings) are many they are insignificant in comparison with the magnitude of Your forgiveness. O Allah, any male or female servant of Yours who has rights upon me, in either that I have unjustly taken from him [ghasabtu] in regards to his land, possession, honor, body; whether he was absent or present; or he or his representatives demanded it from me and neither was I able to return it to him nor did I seek release of it from him. So I ask You through Your benevolence, generosity, and abundance of what You possess that You satisfy them on my behalf, and not give them a position over me that will decrease my good deeds; for You possess what You can satisfy them with on my behalf and I do not possess what to satisfy them with; and do not allow for their bad deeds to find a path over my good deeds on the Day of Judgment.)

Dua for Forgiveness – 21
رَبِّ اغْفِـرْ لي، وَتُبْ عَلَـيَّ، إِنَّكَ أَنْـتَ التَّـوّابُ الغَـفُورُ۔
Dua in Roman: Rabbighfir lee wa tub ‘alayya ‘innaka ‘Antat-Tawwaabul-Ghafoor
Dua Translation in English: My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance, You are the Ever-Relenting, the All-Forgiving.

أسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لا إلَهَ إلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ، غَفَّارُ الذُّنُّوبِ ذُو الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ، وَ أتُوبُ إَيْهِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمَعَاصِي وَ الذُّنوبِ وَ الآثامِ، وَ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ أذْنَبْتُهُ عَمْدًا وَ خَطَأً، ظَاهِرًا وَبَاطِنًا، قَوْلًا وَفِعْلًا، فِى جَمِيع حَرَكَاتِي وَسَكَاتِي وَخَطَرَاتِي وأنْفَاسِي كُلِّهَا دَائِمًا أبَدًا سَرْمَدًا، مِنَ الذَّنْبِ الَّذِي أعْلَمُ، وَ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ الَّذِي لا أعْلَمُ، عَدَدَ مَا أحَاطَ بِهِ الْعِلْمُ وَ أحْصَاهُ الْكِتَابُ وَ خَطَّهُ الْقَلَمُ، وَ عَدَدَ مَا أوْ جَدَتْهُ الْقُدْرَةُ وَ خَصَّصَتْهُ الإرَادَةُ، وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِ اللّهِ، وَ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِجَلالِ وَجْهِ رَبِّنَا وَ جَمَالِهِ وَ كَمَالِهِ، وَ كَمَا يُحِبُّ رَبِّنَا وَ يَرْضَى۔
Dua in Roman: Astaghfirullahal ‘adhim al ladhi la ilaha illa huwa, al hayul qayyum ghaffaru zhunubi zhul jalali wal ikrami wa atubu ilayhi min jami ‘il ma ‘asi wazhunubi wal athami wa min kulli zhambin azhnabtuhu ‘amdan aw khata an dhahiran wa batin nan qawlan wa fi’lan fi jami’i harakati wa sakanati wa khatarati wa anfasi kulliha da iman abadan sarmadan min al zhambil lazhi ‘a’ lamu wa min al zhambil lazhi la ‘a’ lamu ‘adada ma ahata bihil ‘ilmu wa ahsahul kitabu wa khattahul qalamu wa ‘adada ma awjadat hul qudratu wa khassa sathul iradatu wa midada kalimatillah. Wa kama yambaghi li jalali wajhi rabina wa jamalihi wa kamalihi. Wa kama yuhibu rabina wa yardha.
Dua Translation in English: (I seek the forgiveness of Allah, the Tremendous, the one besides whom there is no god, the Living, the Self-Sustaining, the forgiver of sins, the possessor of majesty and splendor . I repent to Him from all my transgressions and sins: from every sin I committed deliberately and accidentally, outwardly and inwardly, in word or in deed, and from all my stirring and resting, and my thoughts and breaths, forever and always, and from the sin of which I am aware and not aware, as much as is encompassed by Knowledge, and recounted in the Book, and inscribed by the Pen and as much as was brought about through Divine omnipotence, and determined through Divine will, and as are the innumerable names of God, and as is only fitting for the majesty of our Lord’s countenance, and His resplendence and utter perfection as He loves and as pleases Him.)
